Introduction to my roadracing career.

I got my motorcycle license September 2005, and started riding on the streets on a 1995 Honda CBR 600 '95. A couple of months later my good colleague and friend told me about the danish road racing training camp held in France. Since I liked the idea of racing on a closed circuit I signed up and payed the fee.

Because danish motorcycles are taxed 180% I didn't want to take my street bike to the track. The risk of crashing it and loosing a significant amount of money was just too big. That gave me a opportunity to satisfy my eBay craving and go on a bidding spree. I ended up with a 1996 Honda CBR 600 '96.

After my 5 days in France in the Easter of 2006 I was officially hooked, and the CBR had officially been track tested and track crashed. The rest of the summer I went to 6 trackdays in Sweden and Denmark until I crashed my CBR at high speed on the 16 juli 2006. It ended up being pretty wrecked, too wrecked to fix cheaply.

My crash made me question my road racing in a serious way. It was getting expensive, and getting expensive quick!

In august I went to Italy on 2 weeks of vacation. A short warning, don't go to Italy in august. Everything is closed!
In Italy I had planned to rent a Ducati, and ride around the northern and central parts of Italy. My plan was to visit the historic cities and their different attractions, such as churches and museums. But soon it was clear to me that the only thing I did was riding around on the Ducati in the mountains, carving corner after corner. After that experience I had to get my track bike ready again, or buy another one.

Once you go track riding, there is no going back!
